A
close family friend is a cab owner (JAS Group); and, he has asked a few
pertinent questions regarding UBER ethics (in particular, how this
enterprise (53 countries & 200 cities; valued
@ $48 Billion; from a consolidated "angel" $42-Million investment
- and, they are expected to go public within 2 months; probably creating a
circa >$500 Million stage one valuation) will affect his future.
Jas
Group has collaborated with two of
my associates to examine the UBER presence in Canada (10% of global
empire). There are about 26,000 cabs in Canada; with an accepted asset resale valuation of about $17.5 Billion (Yellow
Cab owner #21 in Vancouver has a cab valued @
$1-Million; his license cost $100).
There
are about 60,000 cabs in the UK; with an asset value of circa $48-Billion ... This is a GROWTH INDUSTRY
... demand exceeds supply
The
JAS Group has reviewed the UBER Canada legal corp registrations
... They appear to be flawed.
And,
the JAS Group has moved quickly to fill in the gaps by registering in excess of
53 (Cabs / Technologies / Towing / Marine
/ Air / ad infinitum) [see Industry Canada Registry] And, they have proceeded to, also, register in
the UK in the same manner; cooperating with a major cab company (the idea is to
preserve the existing Cab owner companies assets; and, also, to bring "UBER"
to the settlement table because they are now boxed out of Canada - with
imminent competition in the UK JAS Group has registered >6
"UBER" corps). [micro examples] JAS Group met with a spokesperson for
Vancouver & Canada Taxi Associations on Jan 7th, 2015
The
Objective :to invite “UBER USA”
into a purchase agreement for the BC & Canada JAS Group companies -asking
$25-Million for 45% of the national scope; and, asking $5M for the 100% "UBER
Cabs Vancouver LTD"
(I.E.,
it would ONLY cost Yellow Cabs Vancouver $500 / cab licenses to
buy the 100%).
The
JAS Group is currently negotiating with Canada's (edited) CEO
& (edited) New York CEO for "angel" investors to walk
with Jas Group as they seek to draw "UBER" into a
collaboration for the Public company journey (for the benefit of public
interest & to preserve the original investment of the existing cab owners).
I
have asked JAS Group to
participate as a third party observer (I am NOT
involved with the JAS Group; other than being a friendly strategy counsel)
... and, therein, I have advocated that the Canada JAS Group would
profit by coming into a Joint Venture
with First Nations across all provinces.
